A Simple Act of Kindness

Last school year my middle son came to me and said, "Did you know teachers like apples?"  I said, "Yes, all teachers like apples. Would you like to take an apple to your teacher tomorrow?"  "Sure mom."

Ever since that conversation he has taken his teacher apples and oranges throughout the school year.  I think it is so sweet and if I were a teacher I would be touched to know my student thinks highly of me and wants to give a me a gift...a simple act of kindness.

This weekend we had a bag of apples in the kitchen I picked up at Aldi's for lunches and after school snacks.  I asked the boys if they wanted to take their teachers an apple and they said okay.  We also had some extra office/school supplies laying around I picked up for FREE at Target last week and this week at Walgreens

Here's what we did:
Took (2) quart size Hefty zip bags and in each one filled with a 10-pack of pens, 6-pack of Expo markers, and an apple.

Totally simple, totally frugal, and a great way to let a teacher know you care.
